Advertise & sponsorship

Morningfold accepts a small number of clearly-marked sponsorship slots from brands whose products fit our editorial categories. This page explains what we offer, what we don't, and the rules under which we work.

What we offer

1. Newsletter sponsorship slot

A single 80-word sponsor message at the bottom of one weekday edition. Clearly labelled Sponsored. Sponsor copy is written by the sponsor and lightly edited by us for brevity and clarity. Click-through is via a tracked link.

The slot does not appear inside the editorial pick. There is one slot per edition, and we run sponsorship in roughly 1 in 4 editions, the rest run with no sponsor.

2. Sponsored article (rare)

A long-form article paid for by a sponsor, clearly labelled In partnership with [Brand] at the top of the article and in the email subject line. The article must be useful editorial content in its own right, a guide, a comparison, a how-to, not a glorified ad. We retain final editorial control over what gets said. We say no more often than yes.

3. Display sponsorship on relevant articles

A small, clearly-marked sponsor banner on a category page or article page in a single category for a fixed period (typically 30 days). Visual only, no animations, no autoplay, no third-party tracking pixels.

What we won't do

We won't:

  • Place a sponsor's product in a "best of" list because they paid us to. The picks are decided by testing; commercial relationships sit separately.
  • Run a sponsored article that disparages a competitor.
  • Accept payment to remove or rewrite an existing article that someone is unhappy with.
  • Run sponsored content from gambling, payday loans, adult content, MLM/network marketing schemes, miracle health products, or anything sold via fake testimonials or pressure tactics.
  • Embed third-party tracking pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter Ads, etc.) on the site or in emails.
  • Sell our subscriber list. Ever. Under any circumstances.

Affiliate partnerships (different from sponsorship)

In addition to direct sponsorship, Morningfold participates in affiliate programmes with brands across our five categories. The list of networks we belong to:

  • Awin
  • Impact.com
  • Tide direct
  • Wise direct
  • Hostinger direct
  • (More to be added, list is updated each quarter)

When we link to a brand we have an affiliate relationship with, the article discloses this. The affiliate relationship never determines whether the brand is featured.

What sponsorship costs

Pricing is decided per campaign rather than rate-cardified, because audience size is growing and the right price for a 50,000-subscriber edition is different from the right price for a 250,000-subscriber edition. Email contact@morningfold.co.uk and we'll send current rates and availability.

How to enquire

Email contact@morningfold.co.uk with:

  1. Your brand and what you sell
  2. Which slot you're interested in (newsletter sponsorship / sponsored article / display)
  3. Target audience
  4. Approximate budget range
  5. Any timing constraints

We reply to every commercial enquiry within 5 working days, even if the answer is no.

A note for affiliate networks reviewing this page

We work to a transparent affiliate disclosure standard: every commercial link is identified at the link, with the phrase "affiliate link, Morningfold earns a commission if you sign up" or similar. Disclosure language sits adjacent to the link, not in a footer. Editorial decisions, what to recommend, in what order, are not affected by commission rates, ever. See editorial standards and methodology for how this works in practice.

If your network reviewer needs to verify any of the above, please email contact@morningfold.co.uk.
